Story Idea-2

The Problem: A story about a financially strapped young college student that is faced with selling a prized sentimental ceramic pot for more money than she could make in ten years as an English teacher once she got her degree, and holding on to the only thing in this world that gives her comfort and peace, a potted plant she was given at the funeral of her beloved Grandmother.

The Struggle: If she sells the pot, she believes she can fix all the things in her life that keep her from experiencing joy. On the other hand, she could lose the connection she feels to the only person she ever felt love from.

Conclusion: She must make a choice and live with the consequences. I have an idea but like my character, I'm not sure which way I am going with it.

Hi Mindy,

I really enjoy your writing and the ideas you come up with and also really appreciate the feedback and encouragement from you.

I am going to attempt to answer a few of your questions, but always feel if I am doing things a little wrong - so use the information at your own risk :)

I am 34 years old (that one I'm pretty sure I got right), but as for where I get my insight from I could not say as I don't feel I have that much.

As for adding the blogs, I am pretty new to this too so there could be an easier way. I went to my "dashboard" and under the section "blogs I follow" I clicked on add. Up pops a box asking for the URL. One by one I copied these from the introductory postings in Delta Educator and pasted them into the pop-up box. There was one I couldn't get to work, but I forgot whose... I hope this answers your question.

Last, if you ever have trouble finding the right exercise in your book, let me know. I can try copying it out of mine and emailing it to you.

Thanks again for all of the feedback.

I like where you are going with this discription so far. I think this will be a very interesting story if you decide to use this idea and expand on it. It certainly relates to many of us college students these days. All struggling to get by and keep paying tuition.
